MEET THE TEAM

ZAC COLLINS
Zacy — head honcho at Z1 Cyclery.
Zac has been working in the bike industry since 2006. He first started out at Boggo Road Bike Hub during his uni days, until he became the first employee at Rival Bikes in Wynnum. It was here where he began being the main mechanic whilst racing at UQ.
He had a brief 12 months over at Taylor Cylces working in Jay Taylor's store with Dimitri, before coming back to Rival Bikes. During this time he sold Steve Geiszler his first bike and then hired Steve in store to work with him. From there, the two of them crushed it and it wasn't long before they opened their own store at Wellington Point (V1 Cyclery).
The shop thrived for 7 years and their main brands were Cannondale, Specialized & Wilier amongst others.
He ran and captained the Inter Velo cycling team for 11 years, until Covid took its toll on the bike industry. During this time he met a 15 year old Kyle Moon who began mechanic-ing after school under Zac's guidance. Unfortunately, covid took its toll on the small independents & Steve & Zac closed the store in 2021.
Zac took all of his tools and started up servicing in Ellie Salthouse's garage for another year until the new Z1 Cyclery was opened again, at Wellington Point, only a mere 300m from the old store.
He has a wealth of knowledge after 20years in the industry & has ridden and/or serviced pretty much any road & TT bike from 2000 onwards.

KYLE
Meet Kyle – the pillar of Z1 Cyclery.
During Kyle's secondary school years he began mechanic-ing under Zac at the old store, V1 Cyclery. He is a very quick learner with great attention to detail & brings a younger/fresher approach to the mechanical tasks.
Kyle had a couple of years away from the industry post school, but in 2024 he returned. Kyle was only given a very short 2 week initiation at Z1 Cyclery before both Zac & Ellie left the store in his hands for 8 months while they chased Ellie's international triathlon circuit.
With the store approaching its third year of trade now, Kyle is very much the pillar of the store and runs the show when Zac & Ellie are away. Servicing wheel hubs & doing the more intricate jobs that require finesse, are right up his alley. The store simply wouldn't survive without him.
In the very near future you will see Kyle out & about on a brand new gravel bike.

GLENN
Glenn’s an osteopath with a strong background in endurance sport, working closely with cyclists, triathletes, and runners who want to move better, ride stronger, and stay on the road long-term.
Alongside his osteo work, Glenn runs bike fit assessments from the shop with a focus on comfort, efficiency, and injury prevention — blending biomechanics, movement analysis, and real-world riding demands.
Whether it’s sorting out niggles, dialling in position, or helping you understand why your body’s reacting the way it is, Glenn’s all about practical solutions that translate directly to how you ride and train.
You’ll usually find him bouncing between the treatment room, the fit setup, and a training session of his own — living the same balance he helps others chase.
